The clinical doctorate degree program’s distinguished faculty strives to advance and expand the vast knowledge base of acupuncture and Oriental medicine (AOM) through a research-informed process of clinical inquiry, integrative collaboration, scholarship, mentoring and anecdotal reflection among peer practitioners.

As the DAOM degree represents the highest formal educational AOM credential currently available in the United States, and since only a select few colleges nationwide are authorized to offer this degree, our faculty members -- and the students who graduate from the program -- represent true pioneers in the profession and are naturally positioned as future leaders in their field.

The majority of our lecturers maintain active practices in addition to their teaching duties; many are experts in OCOM’s specialization areas of women’s health and geriatrics, as well as other areas of in-depth study.

Guest lecturers are subject to ongoing assessment through student evaluations -- positive feedback is often rewarded by an invitation to return to campus.
