OCOM in the Community PDF Print

Through its clinics and outreach programs, OCOM is committed to providing high-quality free and low-cost health care to the community, while creating opportunities for students to gain valuable hands-on experience. Each year, OCOM students volunteer more than 1,300 hours of community health education informing the public about the health benefits of acupuncture and Oriental medicine and providing free treatments at community events. These hours create an economic impact of approximately $30,000. OCOM interns and supervisors provide low‐cost acupuncture at a number of local community clinics.
