Oregon College of Oriental Medicine (OCOM) is pleased to announce that the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) has scheduled a regional accreditation site visit to OCOM, which will occur over three days in April 2011. This will be the third Interim Candidacy NWCCU site visit to the OCOM campus.
The dates of the scheduled visit are Monday, April 18 through Wednesday, April 20, 2011. The site visit team will be present on the OCOM campus for these three days. The team will be chaired by Dr. Steven G. Olswang, Provost (City University of Seattle).
During the interim candidacy site visit, the team will tour the OCOM campus, review documents and interview many individuals associated with OCOM -- including students, alumni, faculty, staff and trustees.
The Commission also provides an opportunity for third-party comment, in writing, concerning the institution’s qualifications for candidacy or accreditation. Comments will be accepted only when they are submitted in writing and signed. Comments must be received by the Commission at the address below by Friday, March 18.
