Description
Structural-Visceral Integration:
Fascial Manipulation for the Liver
As structure and function are inter-related, Structural-Visceral Integration (S-VI) offers a Systems Anatomy perspective regarding Qi stagnation of the Liver. Holistic assessment, palpation and the restoration of normal range of motion to motion restricted anatomy is the focus of this hands-on class. The ability to correlate physical range of motion testing with TCM diagnosis is a powerful complementary tool, especially with tricky clients. As Qi cannot optimally flow where fascia is fixated, this Combined Technique approach to mobilizing General Liver will increase the Integrative L.Ac's therapeutic options and clinical efficiency.
Bruce Schonfeld, Certified Advanced Rolfer, has dual backgrounds in Fascial Manipulation associated with Rolfing Structural Integration and Visceral Osteopathy. He has taught Structural Integration since 1996 and studied Visceral Manipulation since 1997, including directly with Jean-Pierre Barral, DO since 2001.
