Dr. Mingqing Zhu, LAc, founder of Zhu’s Scalp Acupuncture, returns to our doctoral program to teach scalp acupuncture and will supervise this specialty clinic, focusing on neurological disorders and conditions such as: Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis, headache, peripheral neuropathy, stroke and dizziness. Patients with any other brain or nervous system-related disorders are also encouraged to sign up.
Treatments are based on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), including acupuncture, herbs and other modalities. All OCOM practitioners are licensed acupuncturists. The Weekend Specialty Clinic fee schedule is the same as the regular intern clinic.
Weekend Specialty Clinics: Robust treatments using acupuncture and herbs for individuals with complex chronic conditions. At these clinics, you will be seen by a group of licensed practitioners from the OCOM doctoral program, who may prescribe herbs in addition to acupuncture treatment. Weekend Specialty Clinics are held periodically throughout the year.

Description
The OCOM Acupuncture & Herbal Clinic is the on-campus teaching clinic of Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, offering acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine and Oriental therapeutic massage (tuina and shiatsu). Both the Faculty Practice clinic and the Weekend Specialty Clinics are housed at this location.
Already the largest acupuncture clinic in the Northwest, this location -- commonly referred to as the "Cherry Blossom" clinic -- will continue to provide affordable, holistic and high-quality health care to the public following the college's campus relocation to Old Town Chinatown in September 2012 and the opening of the new OCOM Clinic, both at 75 NW Couch Street.
